"This is NOT gonna be pretty."
---Jane, 12/21/03, on how for the Mason Christmas (tomorrow) at Grandma's we are
going to have 36 people there - the most EVER! Oh God, poor Bill, the newcomer, and Mike (Stephie's Mike), who I am sure is still learning to
cope...at least Ian was born into the chaos

YO!!! So what's the deal man, where the hell have I been? Well sorry about all that, as you can tell from the very first word this is going to be
a completely incoherent update brought to you by the letters Q and X and the number 3. And we wouldn't have it any other way, now would
we?!?!
I just spent all afternoon 'decorating' cookies. Which, to the best of my knowledge, became me mashing the cookies around in the mess I had
created of random sprinkles, this after making my fleet of albinos btw, so whatever. I also did as many ugly ones as I could, this happening post
Jenny making the prettiest ones ever. Dangit. Well I Will Survive. Stephie even came over and helped!! She was here for over two hours today
and I would say that we are pretty damn lucky to have had that. She has so many people to see so she is very busy but she made time to hang
out with us! Too bad we didn't have her present wrapped, oh well, next time perhaps...
At least we had 'wheat pastry flour' or whatever. This has been one big eating fest, it is horrible. Thus yesterday Jenny and I got up and
'power walked' (J doesn't run really), which, now, has left my butt SOOOOOOO SORE!!! WTF with that man?! Uff! I guess I am just not used to it.
So then today I finally woke up and decided to go running. I ran 3.7 miles (I checked, I know, I'm a dork)!!! I know!!! I've never done that. 3.1
has been my limit. Alas, I was very inspired, or something, and even though I haven't ran in like four weeks I was able to do this. It took around
26 mins for the 3 and about 31 total, so that is pretty good. 8 min miles or whatever. OK enough about this I am being an exercise math freak!!
The point is, there is too much distracting food here and it's the devil. But, I can deal. I have no work, I have no job. I have just me and freedom!
And chaos and pain and terror! And Jenny. (Sorry. Crazy cousin time getting at me again. I don't really have pain or terror, don't worry.)
Yeah. AND I got my B+ from Jasper!! AW YEAH BABY. Now, I know that if you know me you aren't going to believe this, but I was very,
very happy to get that grade, let me tell you. Moreso than the grades from Carol and Brad, this one was much better, because he's such a
hardass and I thought that I would be lucky to get a B. But a B+! Hurrah hurrah. I was thrilled. I think my other two grades will end up being "I"
and "X", I know I'm getting an X and that's for capstone but the "I" for my stupid internship. SHOOT. I have to figure this out. The X will be filled in
later. Seriously, who else gets an X in their grades?! I consider myself lucky for that, too.
Enough grade talk, too. So what's up guys? Right, like this is some messageboard or something. My mom's computer destroyed itself so
we'll see what happens with this all (seriously, they need a Mac), so this is impairing my internet abilities. For someone so addicted as I, this is
very frustrating, needless to say. I am coping, and she seems to have fixed the problem. MAN! I am just chatty chatty today! I can't help it. I
suddenly am awake though I yet need a nap.
I still have to wrap gifts! TOMORROW is the big Mason C-mas, man, that is always a good time. I can't wait to see everyone, and I mean
EVERYONE. Katie is even bringing this Bill guy (whom I got to meet). Oh! Backtrack! Last week was really cool. I got to live with Sarah and
Anna for two days, haha, that was pretty fun. We went shopping all day Tuesday at Southdale and that was pretty cool. I was just lucky that they
elected ME to share time with Illicit and Explicit! Finally by Friday too I had some roommate time, I had missed K and A too. And I also got a free
Indian lunch via Barb and a nice little tea for honors! This also afforded me a chat with Ange, and Peter's going away party afforded me a very
drunken night with schoolmates/Diana. (HMM! But when is schoolmate time NOT very drunken, I ask? Eh? The design kids bring out the worst
in me..."If I did it all over again, I would NEVER have gone into graphic design. I DON'T recommend it." ---me, to Ange, 12/16/03.) ANYWAY.
OK enough recap, you don't need to know everything. OK my mom is talking to me at the same time, this is very distracting. "Everyone's tall to
me," I just said. I am just a MESS right now. NOW the conversation has turned ugly. OK not ugly but irritating. I have to end it. Tread carefully
my love.
OK good. We have so many Walgreen's! What is the matter with the West Side. We used to be the border and just have a bunch of fields
around us. Now the damn commercial cancer has closed in, and soon we'll live in slums. OK just kidding that was out of line. Last night Katy had
us all over, which was very fun. We played some cool games, including a very racist version of Go To The Head Of The Class! I have to bring
that back to school...see with the out-of-line-ness.
Whew! Doing this update has calmed me down quite a bit. I hate being all randomly restless like I get sometimes when here and covered in frosting and wearing dumb clothes. Right as we were decorating my mom realized we had no red food coloring, thus sent me to Knoche's to get some. I was wearing this: two long-sleeved shirts, black running tights, my Dad's white socks (since I apparently bled on my own, stupid feet), Jenny's huge WI sweatshirt, and clogs. Note that the socks were OVER my tights. "OMG OMG" how bad is that?! No one seemed to mind however, I was just kind of proud of my cool outfit. So. I need to get out of that. Shower. Dress. NO EATING ALLOWED, dammit! Just kidding. Walgreen's for Critie. Wrap. Christmas. GO!!
...and to all a good night!!!
