Merry Frickin' 2005, Everybody!
time 5:59 pm feeling ornery, haha, well, sort of wearing velvet pants, gray shirt reading Jemima J ready for some champagne man! next shower, hello I am nasty

So apparently my recovery from sickness has meant that I am very 'ornery', according to Jeff anyway. I've insulted everyone from him to the lady trying to demonstrate stupid cookie-baking on public access television today...anyway.

Also, apparently I forgot to mention how crazy my job is...look what they gave me for Christmas:

I know!! Crazy, right? I never would have even asked for that of my own volition! They're just too damn expensive! But alas, Peter and I both got one...the others at work already have them. INSANITY, what a job I have right now...

Speaking of awesome stuff, I had an amazing Christmas at home. I had a wonderful time at the Mason house, it goes without saying, including consultation with Marsha and crazy scarf/organ time with Jane, plus the joy of all my other cousins...Ian knows Jenny's name even so hopefully he'll learn that first, then won't get us confused!! But besides that, I had a lovely, lovely time being home. My Mom had a wonderful Christmas for us and I was just so overwhelmed. I got a drill!! And a cool dress!! And so much other cool stuff, I just couldn't believe it. I am a pretty lucky gal I'd say...oh yeah and a very nice hairbrush and blazer (these are very important) and many many other things. I am a v. spoiled 23-year-old I'd say. Dang! But I do appreciate it. My mom and I struck it rich this Christmas (lol just kidding but still we did have good ones).

Oh yeah I was sick. That kind of sucked. I slept all day yesterday and most of the day today, and all I'll eat is pizza and grilled cheese. I know, weird right? Or onion rings. I know, I'm a freak. But I think I am much better...I think I'll wear my dress tonight YAY. I can't find a pic of it on bananarepublic.com so you'll just have to wait I suppose...hah. ANYWAY yeah, that bug was disgusting, now I'm back to normal (I hope, I hope...)

OKAY. But I think, traditionally anyway, the POINT of this update was to SUMMARIZE THE YEAR oh yeah baby. Okay, so I'm not really into that right now, but as Jeff pointed out 2004 was a pretty darn big year for moi, so I confess that I agree. And what a year it was...

HIGHLIGHT of the year: Probably speaking at graduation and that whole thing. It was just so exciting, even more than I thought it would be. (Although I vow from this point on should I ever graduate from anything else, not to promise to meet family members ANYWHERE after the ceremony. I can never seem to find ANYONE and then naturally I get in trouble! but I digress...) I really did enjoy speaking to everyone and I hope they didn't mind listening to me :) heh heh heh. I also was so happy that my family came to watch and then had fun with my parents afterwards at TGIFriday's oh yeah. OH and how our class 'came together' at the end. Oh yeah GD 2004! Hah.

HIGH-LIGHT #2: My Capstone. That just ruled. And then going to Perry's to celebrate and seeing Michael AGAIN. How cool is that. Speaking of...

HIGH-LIGHT NUMERO TRES: That printmaking class, if only because it was with my cousin Mike. That was just so amazing to me to have a class with my cousin at our HUMUNGOUS University. And to find out how damn talented he is. And what a slacker I was, ha ha. I just took it to be with Mike + friends, anyway.

HIGH-LIGHT #4 (note that these are not in any order except the 1st one, okay): ONE YEAR with Jeffrey. Need I say more? ;)

HIGH-LIGHT FIVE: Sticking around the Cities and sticking around with D. She has really made me get through some tough stuff in years past and years to come (oh how I rely on thee Diana, hahaha).

HIGH-LIGHT #6 The internship at Tunnel. Taught me everything I didn't know but needed to about what I was meant to do in design: FLASH. I am a FLASH PRINCESS now (or, wish I were) and I LOVE IT. See, all that math DID help me in the end, anyway...hah! Plus working with Randy and Grant. God they crack me up!!

HIGHLIGHT #7 Speaking of jobs, getting the job at Olive. Thank you God I am employed. And at someplace where I really enjoy the people and get to do FLASH. (NO I do not Flash people as our new business guy thinks I tell people...no!!!)

8: TG in SF!! Again need I say more?!

NUEVE: The best family vacation ever, and best vacation period, in the land of Alabama. Don't laugh, I am absolutely serious. While nothing luxury-wise compares to, say, the DR, nothing fun-wise or family-wise compared to Alabama. Stephie even came, and everyone was so happy! It was for my parents' 25th wedding anniversary bless their hearts.

DIEZ: My health and the health of my family. It's not all roses but pretty damn close. Thank God.

# ELEVEN: Seeing that therapist lady and figuring some shite out. Thank God again!!

HIGHLIGHT 12: Mi familia. HELLO great big duh on that one. But do I want to take them for granted ah NO. Thanks.

HIGH-LIGHT NUMERO TRECE: Hello Athens Olympics!! I waited forever and a day for that. I was so proud of the US and Carly and Paul of course. And Terin. And when Mo and Annia both made it and Terin I almost cried! Now...BEIJING 2008 Here we come!

HIGH-LIGHT 14: Las Vegas baby! Kristin and I RULED that town for a few days man! And seeing Alyssa WIN!!! She is so smart.

15: And Chicago with Sarah. God their apt rules. It made me cry to see her move but I had a great time with her FR's. And I smoked (one drag of a cigarette, calm down now) with Megan?! What?!! ("IT WAS THE BUCKET!!")

16: Alyssa's wedding OH MY GOSH!!!

and 17: Katy being a genius and getting PAID to attend WUSTL, where she meets boyfriend Robert from Canadia. WOO HOO!

and one more, 18: Taking Jeff to Madison and sharing the love for my city. Oh how glorious it is/was...and among those things that Jeffrey and I did let me add...(I would add these as several more highlights just FYI, but anyway)...my lovely BIRTHDAY celebration at Nicollet Island Inn and the walk to the Falls, how fancy is that?, our impromptu DATE in St. Paul, and the day of pancakes and SATC watching. God that was great. Okay man apparently I need a separate list for what we did...anyway.

Okay there are a LOT more I am sure but those stick out. Those just came to mind immediately now for a few NON HIGH LIGHTS:

NON HIGH LIGHT NUMERO UNO: Sarah moving to Chicago. Need I say more? :(

NON HIGH LIGHT NUMERO DOS: Never seeing Katy post-graduation. SUCKS!!! :( :P

NON HIGH LIGHT NUMERO TRES: Watching Jenny miss her Matt so much. Oh my poor baby, it will be over soon! :(

NON HIGH LIGHT NUMERO CUATRO: HELLO ELECTION 2004 that was the ultra disappointment.

Non Highlight #5: Getting my car broken into and my favorite underwear stolen (though K-10 replaced thankfully) WTF MAN?!! It's underwear!!!

OK man, so there you have it, 2004 was one hell of a year. And may 2005 be the same (I know it will, it's an odd one!). MERRY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!!!
