Fake Snowstorms

time 12:11 pm feeling gypped! (I know that's a slur, but I use it anyway, terrible I know) wearing Jeff's giant sweatshirt music Luscious Jackson reading Fast Food Nation ready for snow, dammit! next Flash time

Whoa, sorry about that. Looks like I suck at updating yet again. My bad. Anyway first off, just wanted everyone to know I live in the state of great trickery and lies, aka, we have not had hardly ANY snow and this 'big snowstorm' we were supposed to get has turned into .5" nothingness of nothing. Boo!

OK anyway. So let's see, what is new? Well just to get it out of the way, things have been kind of crazy at work, but it all seems to be settling down and everything should be good soon. I will be very sad to see Meis go but that is life. No one can resist the lure of San Francisco, it seems (Stephie knows this!)! I have also visited JJ in Chicago, spent some time playing 'hockey', and seen my cousins Rachel and Chloe play volleyball. And just the rest of my normal life too!

Chicago was a grand ol' time, of course. We made some awesome food (all from Real Simple, ha!), went out with Jenny's coworkers and had a pullup contest at Matt's apartment (only he could do a one arm pullup, wow!), went to IGI's Chicago Style elite session, which was pretty neat and of course made me miss gymnastics aaah, and had a lazy Sunday cooking, eating, watching movies, and just hanging out. It was so fun to be there again, I just love hanging out with Jenny! Also love her apartment, it is so cool, and her magical room suite, hurrah. It was very sad to leave but she has some great friends in Chicago and I am very happy for her. And then Vegas in April! woo.

Also in recent memory was Jeff taking me to 'play' 'hockey' with his buddies, which was actually really fun. Obviously I can't do much, but I tried and it was really pretty neat to hit the puck around. Now if only I could skate better! He and his friends played for three more hours after I left, which is insane, but cool for them.

I left because I was heading out to various Twin Cities suburbs to watch Rach and Chlo play volleyball! There were something like 400 teams in that particular tournament, and the girls are on different teams, hence the random driving. Up to Hopkins first for Rachel; her team was really awesome, and won, even if she was feeling a bit ill. Then down to Rosemount (so far, I'm so lazy) to see Chloe; she kicked so much ass and her team won in a very exciting matchup! It was really fun to watch; I always forget how cool volleyball is. So that was that!

Now we're holed up in Jeff's apartment waiting for the giant snowstorm that will not be. ARGH. I know, usually one does NOT want snow, but come on, people! I don't live here for nothin'! Alas.

Sorry, this was a totally sucky update. I did put new photos up, though, so that should suffice! Check out the photo section.

Happy February!
