It's official, I, Lexi Mason, SUCK at the internet. Damn. Sorry guys. I'm updating now because Jeff told me to. Vermont just beat Syracuse and that was an awesome upset. Now I want to go to UVM.
The Gophs lost, but at least they made it in, and the Badgers finally won, thankfully. We got out of work early on Thursday to go watch games (at the Mall of America of all places) and that was pretty cool. I love my sports loving boss + new business guy (the other three at Olive just simply do not care).
Ugh. I feel horrible the way I am writing this html, because I KNOW it is wrong, not compliant, and messy looking. Again. Sorry guys. I gotta get my act together. BUT the cool thing is that I DID write + complete a totally compliant site for work last month, www.bluintelligence.com, I have no idea what they do but check it out!
Jeff is watching the Gophs play hockey now. Shoot. Looks like THAT'S not going as planned. Well hopefully this means a good NCAA tournament. Or something.
OK what else is new. Oh, in very exciting news I have found my new apartment! It isn't anything super fancy or anything but it is a nice 1br for a good price, in my favorite neighborhood :) haha. And the best part it is all mine. I am very excited to say the least. I move in April 15th, hurrah. Two weeks overlap, so that's good. I gotta clean that old apt.
I am also going to be a reading tutor (I hope, if I pass background checks haha) in the Cedar/Riverside neighborhood soon. I went to this free tutor training session last week and it was really fun, and I met this lady that wants me to tutor. So, I hope I get in. I think I need something new to do. And I gotta volunteer some of my abilities or whatever, give back you know. It's the least I can do for how lucky I am.
I also went to lunch with Alyssa and caught up which was good, and also caught up with Susan and Peter last week. They have the cutest little kitty who is a cutie but likes to bite, oh no! Speaking of cuties, one of my bosses brought his 1 yo boy in today. Now THERE is a cutie. He looks like a little rock star. He stole my waterbottle and played drums with it. I told him he was going to be a drummer one day.
OH MY GOSH EXCITING NEWS!!!!!!!!!! I JUST BOUGHT TICKETS TO GARBAGE!!!!! AT FIRST AVE!!! IN SIX WEEKS!!!! Oh my gosh I think I am going to die. That is fabulous. I didn't even know they were coming here!!!! YES. I am taking Jeff with me. Good thing he likes them because Misty is in Australia (my other Garbage buddy). YES! Now. I know. Not financially responsible. But they were only $32/ea, and it is something I MUST do! I will save. YES!
Okay, now that Garbage has hijacked my entire update...I just DLed the single off iTunes. April 12th the CD comes out. FOUR YEARS I have waited. Then April 14th is my mom's bday. Then April 15th I get my apt. Wow a great week indeed.
Okay back to the update. So another cool thing was I saw my cousin Matt's Drumline show in Eagan. I got to hang out with my cousin Mike and his crazy pals so that was fun. AND of course Eagan ruled. They are always so amazing. Their show was called "Chains" and it's done to stuff by Tool. Jeff was sick so he didn't go but when he found out it was Tool he was sad he missed it. It was so weird but cool to hear Tool from a Drumline perspective.
Oh yeah also about Garbage, last time they came to First Ave I was under 21 so we had to haul it to Milwaukee to see 'em. Now my first show at First Ave. Cool.
OK now Jeff is being an ass and reading my journal aloud. Ugh. Okay. Another good thing was Diana and Kelly and I went to dinner and finally caught up. This in addition to my normal general Diana time, yeah, haha. Kelly has her own apt, and works for Ecolab now. Pretty cool. Diana is the queen of Target in the meantime. Everyone loves her.
