"While trucking down the road of life / although all hope seems gone / I just move on // when I can't find a single star / to hang my wish upon / I just move on / ... / just when it seems / we're out of dreams / and things have got us down / we don't despair / we don't go there / we hang our bonnets out of town // So there's no doubt we're well cut out / to run life's marathon / we just move on / we just move on / ... / yes we move on!"

Rodents and Rumors

time 9:59 am feeling !excelente! reading Valencia books wearing red and white for the BADGERS for tonight!!! music Chicago soundtrack ready for summer! next write essay, hopefully

For some reason I am in an insanely good mood. Oh no, now I am starting to sound like Peter. Speaking of which...

Apparently even professors try to spread rumors! So yesterday between my GD classes I go to visit Brad (Hokanson). As a refresher, he is the professor I had for my honors colloquim freshman year, and I also was fortunate enough to have him last semester for Computer Apps 2. Anyway. I talk to him about school for a little bit and then he mentions that he saw Sarah over break while he was in Italy. So I can't really tell the whole story here in order to protect the innocents but let's just say that he and Sarah found it amusing to start spreading rumors throughout DHA in order to 'shake me [Lexi] up'. HMMMMMMM!!! Now do I smell a rat?! Anyway it was pretty funny and now Susan has to deal with it instead, for reasons that should not be listed here ;). I can't believe what a little gossip Brad is.

Yeah so enough of that. Why am I so happy? I have so much work to do this weekend. I was supposed to go to Notre Dame for a gymnastics meet but there was no way I was going to be able to do that, maintain grades, get work done, and stay sane for Nationals (two weeks!!!!!). So here I am, ready to buckle down once I finish (if ever) this update. I am just excited because of a few things, one is the funny incidents I encountered in school and gymnastics yesterday, more are below.

So today is March 27, yes that's right, I am halfway to being 22! I am not that excited about it because 22 is as you know a very even, straight number. I am not about those; odds and primes are better. Alas, it's still pretty cool, because when we were little and Brittany and I declared a 'day' for ourselves (similar to Father's Day or Mother's Day but instead it was Brittany Day and Lexi Day; I know, I know, we were pretty high on ourselves as kids; oh wait, are we still?) this was my day. Yay.

Also, the Badgers play tonight in the Sweet 16 here in Minneapolis! Kentucky is an amazing team so we can't get too excited but it's still pretty cool that they made it! I am doing alright in my pool, more I am just excited for the games to begin once again! I must say, I am proud of myself for coming to enjoy a 'mainstream' sport, you know, we never thought we'd see the day. Whatever. I guess Badgers aren't rodents exactly but it fit well with rumors...I won't get to see the game but I will be thinking of them as I am teaching the twinks tonight!

In other good news my Aunt Sharon's surgery went well. It is pretty difficult because she is like the healthiest one in our family, so active and conscientious, and kind of my role model for how I would like to be when I am older...because I would like to believe that through diet and exercise I can prevent the curse of cancer which is sure to genetically follow me through life! Anyway she has a type of cancer and the surgery on Tuesday went well. Now we will see how the rest of the diagnosis turns out. I really hope she is okay. She is a strong woman!

And in case you didn't realize, I LOVE the Chicago CD, it's all I listen to. I love "I Move On", it reminds me to chill out and deal with what's at hand. That could be another contributing factor to my good mood.

OK not much else. I really have to go do some work. Tonight we (those of the True Ten that are around) are doing 'something', I am not sure what, Saturday is a fondue party (!), and Tuesday we are going out for little K's 21st. YEAH. In which case it's essay writing time. Ciao.
