time 2:27 pm feeling HOT! in this hell hole of a lab reading The Great Gatsby wearing sweater, isn't that sad music DMB, Grateful Dead LIVE/DEAD ready for our pajama party! next maybe class? hopefully they won't get the power back on
Good God. You'd think that with the tuition I am paying (well, I guess I am not technically paying it, some anonymous person is, but nevertheless) they would be able to control the temperature in this frickin' building. Alas, they cannot, and I am here yet again burning up in this hell hole of a lab.
And I was going to complain about how much work I have to do and only three weeks left in the semester, but here I am updating and not WORKING on said work, so that is a terrible idea. BUT thankfully I do have something exciting to talk about, and that is our pajama party! Yes that's right, Apt 3 will be hosting a party on May 9 at 9 pm entitled "attire: formal pajamas (or) the KLA prefinals superbash giddyup". Excited? No? You're probably scared. Well that's okay, because it is going to be really cool whether you realize it or not.
I had thought my spring high was ending as of yesterday, and that I would cure it by getting a good night's sleep for the first time in three weeks yesterday. Thankfully I avoided this, and am still on my crazy swing of these last few weeks. It definitely has something to do with not getting enough sleep, EVER...the most I've gotten in the last few weeks is about seven hours. So, I reason, this is not good for me. But, with sleep, my insane approach would be subdued, and that would be no fun. So it's a dilemma. Matt claims that he will cure me of this disease this weekend, but I'm not so sure.
So let's list the things I have to look forward to (even with this high it's always nice to have things to look forward to) in the next few weeks:
You see? It's all wonderful up until August (the month of Sundays). This will sustain me through these next few weeks of horrible work and school. Hurrah.
In other news, we are on post season in gymnastics, which is one of the best times of the year! I am working some new things, I hope to get toe fronts off bars this summer. I am working on over-unders to handstand, a new floor routine, and goddamn series on beam (have to get it). It's pretty cool, everyone has a good time even if it's so hot!! ("I mean my hair!" ---Diana)
OK that's it. This was a quick update to distract me from the hell of the lab and school. Have a nice weekend, I will hopefully be on hiatus for awhile as I attempt to get some work done...
