"AW YEAH BABY, we're going to Nationals!!!"

We're Going to Tejas!

time 1:41 pm feeling SO excited!!! reading The Great Gatsby, I am really into the '20s right now wearing NAIGC shirt, blue pants music DMB ready for TEXAS!!! next whatever I want, I am ahead of the game

Last year at this time we were snobby sophomores, watching the freshies sketch out their McNeal Hall drawings and declaring how glad we were not to be doing those anymore. Now, we're stressed-out juniors and we just wish we were doing those drawings, because it would spare us all this pain.

Haha, but I don't care, because I am going to Texas in two days and it's like my second spring break! I am really incoherent right now, just moments ago I was very calm and composed and now my mind is reeling. I think it has something to do with the realization that we are, indeed, headed to Nationals.

But let's stay on task here! I am in GD3 right now, working ohsoveryhard on my stupid assignment, obviously not, because my assignment is done and in Kristin's cubby in her room. So chronologically, once again, Kristin's bday was definitely a good time, my teacher even had his class sing to her, I was pretty happy about that...then Friday I went home to (a) drop off my car (Matt brought me back here) (b) see Dr. Timmerman. If I haven't said this enough, let me say it again: I love Dr. Timmerman. I love, love, LOVE him. He is an amazing sports med doctor. Well my foot had been hurting me and after going through all these possibilities, we decided that it was tendonitis in the outside of my foot, due to my high arches and the even higher-arched clogs I wear. Anyway he is such a great doctor, he makes me so excited about sport and fitness. He was so amazed that I am still doing gymnastics, it was his belief that I would not be able to continue the sport with the brace and without a PCL, but here I am. He is just amazing himself. Anyway I am DONE gushing about my sports med doctor, I am probably embarassing myself.

The point is, my foot=good to go, and it feels much better already. So whatever, I dropped off my car and came back up here with Matt. EXCEPT the weather was terrible so we had to make a detour to the rainforest. Haha, now you're really confused (as am I), so maybe I'll leave it like that.

Finally we came back up here to the Cities on Saturday and finished the rest of our lovely weekend. It was so nice (as always) to have Matt all to myself! It was a pretty laid-back weekend (excepting the pain of doing homework for four hours with him and then five without) and the true bliss I only experience when with him. Well there is a lot more I could say but just remember, we did go to the rainforest (cousins, you might know what I am talking about!!!).

OK now I am just wasting space and time. I am now reading The Great Gatsby, just because of my current obsession with the Roaring '20s due to Chicago (and man, do I want to see that again)("Jenny's hippie sister" ---Erik). Hopefully I can read that and My Losing Season over my second spring break, which begins in about 24 hours!

TEXAS!!! I will talk about it once more and then hopefully shut up until my POST-Nationals update. So we leave Weds. morning and are driving to Kansas (another place I have never been!). We will finish the 18-hour drive on Thursday and drive into Austin. I've heard that Austin is pretty much the best place in Texas, not to mention similar to Madison, so I am pretty excited that we are blessed with that. As Brad (Hokanson) said, "that's the only place in Texas worth going to." Then again, I have never been, so how would I know. !!! TOO EXCITED, hence my incoherent-ness!!!

'Training' (whatever that's about) is Thursday night 8:30 pm to 10:30 pm, then we compete Friday morning at 7:30 am, yipes!!! That's okay though, I am happy about that because I do well in the mornings plus that means we have the whole rest of the day to do whatever we want. Finals and 'congress' are Saturday morning, so while Mary and Melissa are sweating it out, Diana and I will be bitching with Marv. FUN TIMES!!! Saturday night is banquet time, and then Sunday my euphoric high will end, as Nationals will be over. NOO! I'm just not going to think about it.

Anyway I hope you all are doing well. I apologize once again for the incoherent quality this update has taken, it has something to do with my excitement at Nationals, my great weekend, and the pain this hot hell hole of a lab is putting me through. Have a great weekend!!! GO GYMNASTICS CLUB!!!
