Moving Tomorrow

time 9:21 am feeling CHILLY wearing NOT ENOUGH B/C STILL COLDmusic RP reading term limits, kind of ready for FLASH next flash

TWO IN ROW you should die of happiness. Except for the fact that I told Sara Scrutineyess I was going to stop updating at this particular time of day (ha), and yet I continue.

So, quickly:

REASONS WHY MY CURRENT (SOON TO BE OLD) APT SUCKS ASS:

  • Train (this was my fault however)
  • Idiots living above me who constantly drop golf balls, have a disgusting band-aid-taped car, and are probably running a meth operation and/or furniture business (I hear saws and other power tools often). I hate them.
  • Idiot living across the hall from me who lives rent free, yet still comes over to ask for medical supplies, ice cubes, and a PHONE yesterday anyway. AND she leaves her garbage IN THE HALL, INCLUDING but not limited to a bag of DIRTY CAT LITTER. I left a very explicit and nasty note about this and she stopped, but really. She is coming really close to making me lose my bleeding-heart-ness, for I have absolutely NO sympathy for her lazy ass.
  • It's the ghetto of St. Anthony Park.
  • You really do get what you pay for.
  • They refuse to really 'fix' things either because they are (a) lazy or (b) stupid.
  • There is a cat that lives in the dumpster. I love cats. But not ones that live in dumpsters.

GOOD THINGS ABOUT CURRENT (SOON TO BE OLD) APT:

  • CHEAP AS HELL!
  • It is cute once you get inside.
  • It's by my favorite park.
  • It's in St. Anthony Park, mucho gusto.

REASONS WHY MY FUTURE (SOON TO BE CURRENT) APT RULES:

  • Within walking/biking distance of work, downtown, and on several amazing bus lines.
  • Within walking distance of many great things, including but not limited to a grocery store (well, soon it will be up anyway), Chipotle which I love, The Times, Whitey's, a cream puff cafe, (oh how I love food), a movie theater, St. Anthony Main, the river (wait, is that good?), etc etc etc.
  • The new landlady/manager/whatever. She is my age and is very professional. They redo five units every year(?) or something and are committed to making it respectable. This means more rules, more $, but also better service and more appropriate behavior. Example: while I was moving stuff this week, she came in to show the apt( as an example to others) and did not realize I was even there. She apologized profusely, felt terrible about the whole thing, called me personally later to apologize and reassure me she would not be entering again, and then later I found she had left me a $10 GC to Chipotle as another apology/thanks. See above comment re: that dining establishment. LOVELOVELOVE for her already.
  • Way cuter.
  • Top floor so no upstairs idiots.
  • Can see skyline if I crane neck appropriately.
  • Everything is new and the kitchen looks amazing.

ONLY CONS:

  • Silverware drawer is tiny (this is a very insignificant complaint).
  • Closet door came off tracking and they'll have to fix that.
  • More expensive.

THANK POD. Now I will leave you with that and get on to Flash-ING.
