Nothing Too New
time 10:32 Am feeling decent wearing i'm a spy music meeting in conference room reading book from mom, can't remember the name ready for teddy grahams next playbook
I got a new phone! Yes, that's right, I finally switched. I didn't really have that much against Verizon—they seemed as decent as the next—except for the fact that almost every night after 9, when calls were free, I would consistently get the message 'all circuits are busy now; please try your call again later.' What?! This is unacceptable when my cell phone is my only phone, and so I'd had it.
I had been deciding between Sprint and Tmobile for awhile and once my contract was up in May, began seriously considering my options. Sprint had 7pm free calling; Tmobile had CZJ, an awesome website, and a cool hot pinkish color (not to mention they are in no way associated with a certain client of ours, as Sprint is). Obviously I have my priorities straight, huh?
Well. Last week the day before my annual review, I noticed that Tmobile had come out with a new, awesome phone: a red version of the one I already loved so well. I was sold. Immediately following my review Jeff and I went to Tmobile for me to switch, get a normal, welcome-to-the-millennium phone that also happened to be a beautiful red. See photo.
So that's my phone story. I know, very exciting.
This week has been really weird. People have been in and out all week and I have a Flash conference thing tomorrow so Peter, Erik and I are out for that. (This is another reason I can't go to SFO with JJ to see Stephie this weekend. That's depressing though so I won't think about that :( boo.) And as I said, last week was my review. Since I'm trying to be more Dianalike and speaking less about ze job here, I'll just say it went fairly to mostly well; I got a pretty kickass raise and some helpful feedback. Yeah. We are indeed a 'real company' I suppose.
Last weekend I headed back to Madison for my cousin Erik's graduation. Only four more JMM graduations to go, people. Stephie's was in 1990 (?), and Ian's will be in 2021. Pretty darn crazy if you ask me. Anyway it was really fun and I got to see Cars with my family. We had a good time and as always it was so nice to be home. I was in a horrible mood Friday and that wasn't cool but other than that the weekend was a good one. The best part was that Ian knows EVERYONE'S name which is amazing, even JJ and I (note that his brother and sisters got us confused up until they were almost 10 years old. I take Ian's ability to differentiate as a sign of either his extreme intelligence or the fact that Jenny and I are looking more and more different as the years go on. WEIRD huh?). He greeted us all at the ceremony even. Jane held it together and the Eagan Masons came which was very nice. Michael and Kaitlin rode home with me which made for a lovely conclusion to the weekend.
In other, unrelated, news, I am really excited for Katy's wedding! They are having the reception at this place they took me for dim sum when I was visiting last November. That place was AMAZING and it is so perfect for her and Rob. I am so happy for her and Rob so I just know her wedding will rock. Somewhat related, GO OILERS! (I only say this because Katy's Rob loves the Oilers.) Now I will have to watch game 6 and (hopefully) 7. That would be pretty sweet if they could do it.
UMMMM I know I have/had more about which to update, and the problems we've been having that are preventing me from producing anything have yet to be fixed, but I feel like it's time for this update to be over. Maybe I'll do another one...later. So that all said, ciao bellas. Have a good weekend!
