Glorious July

time 8:32 pm feeling fantastic reading uh...soon to be The Botany of Desire wearing post-dance apparel music radio and Counting Crows ready for anything! next make lunch (for tomorrow)

Today RULED. July is the best month ever, with its hotness and brightness and schoollessness, and today proved just why I love my favorite month. The radio loved me. People found me funny. I heard from my sister and friends. I got to dance with myself. The sun was shining. I won something (shit, I was supposed to get a Powerball ticket per Tonya! OK, next time). Seriously, I could not ask for a better start to my July.

One of my favorite things to do in summer is drive around in the little black car with all the windows down and sing to whatever's playing. Okay, so for being environmentally conscious and drivingly cautious, this is a serious bad move, but whatever, I am allowed some vices as I am, indeed, in my 20s (the 'me' years in case you forgot). I get it from my Dad. Nothing is better than hearing a good song come on, old or new, stupid or not, and having the weather be good enough to blast it out your windows. I heard Posession, I heard that blinded-whatever song I like, the 'dancing with myself' one, I even heard the 'run away if you want to survive' song that we used to sing to ourselves at gymnastics during Preseason when things got tough. And other good stuff. It was excelente.

I had a great day at work, I even won something! Some stupid safety quiz thing they do every week, I won a first aid kit, hah. That was funny. I got a lot of work done, got to hear Tonya's story about her daughter Lexi and the snot thing (note that this other Lexi is only 2 1/2 years old), went for my daily walk/chat with Alicia, and Kara, Chad, and Amy discovered my list of things learned/stupid things people have said. This was amusing (even if yet again someone claims I have 'chicken scratch' writing). The day was fun.

JENNY - GETS - HOME - THURSDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If that wasn't enough exclamation for you I don't know what is. I am SO EXCITED for this, in more ways than one...haha (if you know me you know what I'm talking about). I can't believe she is finally going to be back!! Yeah!! I even have the day off so I might try to go to Badger that morning. Sweetness. She sent me a long, crazy email today that I should answer but we'll see how that shakes out...I'm behind on emails.

I had ballet and it was awesome, not that I did very well but just that I love it. I miss my old lady teacher in MN but I am making do with this arrogant guy, he's turning out to be okay if full of himself. The class members are more my age, too. Dance is so damn hard though! That's good however, as long as it's not scary like gymnastics. "I don't believe you" ---random comment made by instructor about my feet...what?!

And it is July, friends, and all is well. Jenny home Thursday, Fourth of July Friday, and up north Saturday through Monday! YEAH BABY. And my other sister Stephie is in frickin' MAUI!!! Wow. OK I am out, hopefully to get something done, until then, have a lovely July.
