“This will all fall down like everything else that was / This too shall pass and all of the words we said / We can't take back // ...Here's what I'm thinking / Won't be the first / heart that you break / Won't be the last / beautiful girl / If you were the last beautiful girl in the world”

Amphibious Geological Matress Of The Night

time 8:33 pm feeling hot as hell wearing underwear music MPR 99.5 (right now it's opera) reading Sleep Dead or something? Can't remember the title ATM ready for coolness next see if carpet's still wet

Wazzup homies!!! I kind of want to drink this bottle of wine and THEN update, but that would go against everything I think I am now, or something. And so we wait.

It's been forever but things have been going on. First, just to get it out of the way and pain and death etcetc, WORK has been HELL ON EARTH. END OF DISCUSSION because THIS IS THE INTERNET (but they know it, too).

But that's no excuse. Second of all, but should be first of all, some VERY VERY VERY important news: there are two new babies in the world as of last weekend, one of to whom I am (finally!) an aunt, so times are good in the world of Lexi and her baby lust being satisfied. Yes that's right, Stephanie L.M. Ogborne gave birth to a beautiful, 8 lb 3 oz, 19 inch baby girl on Friday evening at 6:31 pm PST, named Anna Josephine Ogborne. (Ha! How's THAT for baby Anna's first reference in the Land of Google??? hahahaha.) Everyone couldn't be happier. The baby is gorgeous, Mom and Dad are doing well, and I am filled with joy at the thought of seeing my new baby niece in the coming months. I literally canNOT wait. Welcome Anna!

(And, please note, Stephie followed the rules and will named the first of the 'next' generation starting with the letter 'A'. Take note Masons! Start thinking of 'B' names for the next one!)

Jackie at work gave birth to ANOTHER baby girl on Saturday, a lovely little one, also an 8-pounder, named Stella. Beautiful!! I am going to make her a card with a beautiful yellow star on it, for Stella = estrella to me. Just perfect. I talked to the cleaning guy today at work in a hodgepodge of English, Spanish, and Portuguese to tell him about it. He was incredibly thrilled as are we. I really thought she was having a boy, but the more girls the merrier I always say. I can't wait to see her either!! Hopefully SOON.

Needless to say my baby lust has now managed to reach an all-time high. This is horrible, as I am only 24 and NOT AT ALL looking to reproduce at the moment. Alas...

A few weeks ago I was Up North again, same old, same old, but just as perfect each time. Baby Samantha (Matty C's little girl) was there and again with the baby lust. She - is - adorable!, and even let me push her in the swing for a lovely 20 minutes. She looks just like Matt and Steph and they are so good to her. Ahh.

I think the moment that summed it up the best was when I was clinging to Jessy for dear life on the back of the Jetski as she blazed across Plum Lake laughing at my wildly frightened screams. Here we were, riding high (and dangerously!) through the water, looking to one another for some fun. We've come a long way from a 12-year-old Lexi and 11-year-old Jenny helping 4- and 6- year old Jessy and Sarah wind through the rusted swingset in the woods. "Uh-oh - I can't get down...Jenny can you help?" What a life.

We had a great time with my Mom and Dad too, just me and the JJster hanging out, swimming, 'fishing', trying to help my Mom with her puzzle (or not, as was my case), running with little Carly (who is 13!! aaah I remember when she could barely walk!! what is the world coming to! etc etc.), and having good ol' family chats over dinner. Just like it used to be...I had a wonderful time. THANK YOU a million times over to my PARENTS!!! for taking us on another fabulous vacation.

BEFORE THAT we moved Jeff into his new apt at 48th and Chicago. I AM IN LOVE WITH HIS NEIGHBORHOOD and want to live there one day. Seriously it is awesome. He is a mile from Lake Nokomis, two blocks from Minnehaha Creek/Parkway, and near all of these amazing little shops INCLUDING the newly beloved TURTLE BREAD CO. Soon I will be FAT and POOR due to their chocolate buns. OMG. OMG. End of discussion. So he is alllll moved in and his apt looks great, I am so jealous. It is huge and old and beautiful, lucky dog. Then again I do love my little apt, it is good for me. :)

So OK that's about it. I have HH with Diana and MJ on Wednesday but SADLY I CANNOT EAT OR DRINK *anything* for the next morning I have a Dr. appt and evidently they want to test my blood, to which I say, What the 'H' is up with that??!!??!! Seriously, they do it every year, gimme a break folks. Another HH tomorrow with Davey and Qwest pals and Jeff said he'd buy me sushi so I am totally down for that. Last night spent the evening swimming/picnicking at Lake Nokomis and after Jeff and I worrying about the little lonely girl wading around, we had a blast. I LOVE IT there!! Love it. That was an awesome day. Last Weds Michael came by for a surprise late evening visit. YAY COUSINS I was very happy to see him. And this weekend = Mason family reunion time. What more could you ask for?

(Some peace at the job, I suppose. Well, that will come.)

And to all a good night!
