time 5:58 pm feeling irritated at all the work I have to do, happy about my weekend reading whatever's around wearing dance sweatshirt and blue pants music drive 105! ready for bedtime next head to the studio, oh the joy...
Talk about SECRETS REVEALED!!! I don't particularly like the idea of a photo of me wherein I look like a 'Mardi Gras flasher girl' (–Kristin, 9/19/03)(note two things: this was not the intention nor not what I did) floating around on the internet, however, I have to prove the amazing thing that happened this weekend: our secret was revealed and it was that AK was coming to visit for our birthday celebration weekend!!! All the way from Vermont!!! It was truly amazing.
Alyssa and I, to note, had been DYING to know this 'secret' Susan and Adam (and apparently the rest of our friends, we were the only two who did NOT know, dammit; however, this would have wrecked the surprise) had taunted us with for days on end, alas, we never found out despite Alyssa's phone harassment of Adam and my flashlight fixation on Susan. Early on we had dismissed the notion of AK coming home. Well, fools are we! Friday night was our birthday party of escaped lunatics (hence the crazy dress, we all had to be obsessed with something or just plain crazy, not too difficult in my life) and sometime during the party Alyssa happened to check the board. Well who had posted but Susan from work, saying something about the secret and 'strange wind from the East'. IMMEDIATELY I said, "AK is coming!!!" but as it was almost 11 figured this wasn't true. Nonetheless Alyssa goes running outside in her costume to greet whomever was coming up the walk and lo and behold...it was Adam. I had followed her and we're both like, "Oh it's just you" (Adam was thrilled) and disappointedly came back in to have Alyssa post at our sadness that we were incorrect about the secret. A few minutes later there is a knock at the door. "Yeah guys, THIS is AK," I said sarcastically as I opened it, bitches who kept the secret from us (just kidding). And there, in the flesh and loveliness, was AK herself!!! I screamed, Alyssa screamed, and it was unreal happiness. The last time I had seen her was when she came home for the May babies birthday weeks in spring, so this was amazing. We had 8/10 of the True Ten reunited for the first time in a long time (missing this time were Sarah Ke and Misty). It was a glorious weekend...we had double sleepover nights and Saturday went out to Cafe Latte, our timeless hangout, then later pizza and movie night. Everyone was around mostly, too! All of the ladies and Adam (who is dating Sarah Ke so it was sort of like she was here). It turned out to be an awesome weekend from one which I thought might suck post-Friday, although now I am resolving homework (or lack thereof) issues.
The party was awesome too! It was pretty small and not too insane (despite the dress). Diana and my cousin Mike even came, and I think they had fun, too! So that was really cool. OK I am not supposed to be updating, I have some Advanced Type to work on in the studio so I had better go. Oh! My sister and mom might be interested in who my friends are in the photo above...L to R: Anna, Amber, Sarah (Komomua), me, AK (in the glasses), Kristin (in the plastic bags), Alyssa, and Susan. YEAH. And 22 next Saturday. Life is good.
