"I wonder why!"

"Yeah, like that May Babies birthday party when I was completely wasted and - oh, hi Barbara!"

–me, today to friends as my 'advisor' Babs (Martison) walks up...GREAT

That Doesn't Sound Like A Monkey!

time 12:28 pm feeling !excelente! reading Cat's Cradle, almost done wearing white and blue music a variety of things, Some Devil is a little too down for all the time ready for party time! next HW time

Today has been a FANTASTIC day!!! And it's only 12:30! Awesome. I can't even tell you how cool things have been! So first of all I ran three miles in under 26 minutes, I know! I am getting way better at this! (Though I did have to walk a bit up that damn hill, I tell you, it is the only evil thing of the route.) Oh yeah and yesterday was a cool day too, so this has contributed. I love my track and field class! Get this, my 'Coach', Roy Griak, turns *80* on Saturday! No joke! We did high jump yesterday and it was pretty cool. OK. Then I had a lovely afternoon and then GD4 which was not the hell it usually is. We even got out early! Oh and before that I got to see James. I was very happy about this. Then gymnastics, okay, well I sucked personally but at least I had fun, and the newbies are so cute, eh? Yeah!! And the 'Pack' or whatever won so Matt was happy about that.

Alright so back on track. ANYWAY so first of all Sarah calls at 8:15 (we have class at 8:30 this morning) asking if I have cold mount for our project that is due today. Lucky for us I did, and she came over early and finished her project as I finished my grapefruit. Yum. Then class, which was not at all critique purgatory, yessss. Just a short one. Then I showed Carol (my teacher) and Brigette my bear mittens and monkey socks and they found this amusing. It was all in honor of Brigette's zoo, of course. Then during our break I headed down to the other lab to visit Brad's class because all my little junior friends are in it (including Mary with her purple toe! alas). And get this...Brad was wearing nothing other than a PINK SHIRT!!!!! I KNOW!!! I almost died. He's like, 'you're in this class more than your real class', which isn't true but amusing nonetheless. THEN there was free pizza for something so Brigette, Mary, Susan and Sarah and I took advantage of this and later Dave joined us. (This is the part when Barbara comes up as I am chatting to everyone and I'm like, oh, hi. Ha. Great. Anyway.) We reflected on the joy of intro to drawing and the Senile Sorceress. THEN we're talking about our weekends and Dave's like, yeah I'm going to have a pretty solid weekend and we say, why? Because he's going to PROPOSE!! I didn't even know he had a girlfriend! We were all very excited, I have no idea why. Perhaps it is a matter of restoration of faith in college students taking risks.

To add to this, I found out this 'Rett' person (I didn't know who he really was til this semester although apparently my friends all know him, whatever) is also engaged. What did Brigette say yesterday? 'They're dropping like flies!' Ha. But whatever, I am happy to hear all this because despite what I had believed my classmates are indeed NOT too cool to get married. GOOD FOR THEM!!

Okay, so 22 is off to a great start, let's not get too excited though (funny I should say that NOW, heh). 22! Oh yeah! I was home for my birthday last weekend, it was of course great. Too short but still, a lovely weekend. Matt took me out Friday night which was very nice if strange how many people we knew (we have been in Madison too long...uh...) and then he had all our friends meet us at the Majestic!! How cool is that?! (Despite Jenny not being able to go...'ageism at its worst!' –Jenny) Matt even danced with me, again, how I appreciate this, although I must say he was drunker than me which doesn't happen very often! When we do go out, which is pretty rare, he's always driving. I wanted to stay pretty clear for this 'birthday' of mine though. Anyway it was funny, then back to their apt for cake, what a good baker as well. Matt was full of surprises... And Saturday we went to the zoo, farmer's market (school related, but also fun things) and L'Etoile's bakery for lunch! YUM. That is my new favorite place in Madison. Later we went to my house and my mom had made dinner and cake and cousin Katie and my grandparents were around, too. I love seeing my family. It was very fun. And Sunday Matt's family made us brunch, how good was that. I ate well last weekend, let me tell you...anyway all in all it was a wonderful weekend, thank you to everyone but a big thanks to my mom for giving birth to this 'demo baby' in the first place!

OK school calls but I just had to talk about my awesome day. Now a great song just came on drive 105, it doesn't get better than this. Ciao.
